Brixton Performs – A Day of Comedy & Live Entertainment
Brixton Performs returns with five days of comedy and music across Brixton, celebrating live performance in all its forms. The festival’s final day lands in Brixton Village, taking over the Courtyard with a live set from Sedric Perry, joined by Joe Chicari.
From there, the programme continues at Pergola Brixton, where Slim — undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit — headlines the finale alongside Adi Alfa, Leah Davis and Mia Jarvis.

Pirate Studios Launches New Music Space in Market Row
Pirate Studios is opening its newest London location in Brixton Village, bringing six studios, an events space and a bar into the heart of the market. Their arrival adds to Brixton’s long-standing culture of music, creativity and collaboration, creating new opportunities for local artists, podcasters and performers to work and connect.

CHINAKWE – An Art Space for Storytelling
Now joining Market Row, CHINAKWE brings together fashion, lifestyle and an art studio, founded by Lagos-born, UK-based artist Caroline Chinakwe. Blending African culture with contemporary Western aesthetics, the space centres storytelling and identity — echoing the layers of culture and creativity that shape Brixton Village.
You’ll also find a flexible pop-up space which will give emerging brands the chance to step into a physical setting, whether for a day, a week or little longer.

Uptown Yardie Residency Extended in Market Row
After a strong pop-up, Uptown Yardie returns to Market Row with a soft launch to his new store this bank holiday weekend. Drop by on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May for a first look at the space, with music and time to hang.
Uptown Yardie is a British-Jamaican brand rooted in heritage and lifestyle, bringing bold pieces made to do ‘tings the wrong way’. Part of a wider cluster of openings quietly turning Market Row into one of the most dynamic stretches of South London right now.

The Village’s First Private Members’ Bar for Makers, Founders, and Local Craftsmen
Finally, a private members’ bar opens in Market Row! A speakeasy-style listening bar with high-fidelity sound.
The house pour is Brixton Culture Capital Rum — distilled on site, numbered, and never meant for scale. From the team behind Brixton Culture Capital and Impact Brixton, it’s built for the makers, mentors and founders already shaping the borough.

Taking shape on the corner of Market Row, All Roads is another new addition to the Village’s dining scene. Built around modern comfort food, All Roads is a community-first neighbourhood restaurant from a dynamic duo, famous for their exclusive, sold out supper clubs. One to keep an eye on as it opens its doors in the Village.

Black Makers Market – A Gathering of Makers, Traders and Crafters
Every other Sunday, Brixton Village is set to host the Black Makers Market, a new gathering of makers, traders and creatives. Expect artisan goods, Afro-Caribbean food, handmade pieces, music and more; a celebration of independent makers from across different black diasporan cultures and communities.

Wray & Nephew x 90s Baby Show Take Over Pergola Brixton
Pergola Brixton kicks off May with a three-day bank holiday run, bringing music, food, and late afternoons that turn easily into evenings.
Saturday starts with bottomless brunch — Mexican plates from Jalisco, free-flowing drinks, and DJ Jadey Wadey and host Gia setting the tone.
On Sunday, things shift up a gear as Wray & Nephew links up with 90s Baby Show, the multi award-winning podcast with a real community. Expect afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall and R&B, alongside interactive games led by the trio themselves, bringing their community from screen to space.
Monday slows things slightly, with sunroof drinks running all day — £6 beers and £7 cocktails to ease into the week.

Brixton Disco Festival Returns to the Village
They’re back. Brixton Disco Festival 2026 returns for the May Bank Holiday Weekend, bringing a full day of music, movement and energy to the Courtyard.
Expect DJs, food traders and sounds flowing between ten locations across the area — with Brixton Village joining the line-up. From 2pm, the courtyard DJ set is to be curated by our very own Handson family, mixing tunes into the evening and adding rhythm to the festival. Don’t forget to grab a festival wristband, opening up offers across selected food traders in Market Row and Granville Arcade!

Brixton Village Lates – Spicing Up Your Saturday Night in the Village
Following eight years of music, endless moves and community events, the Handson Family are back again with a new season of Brixton Village Lates. Join us every other Saturday night for boogies in the Courtyard with new local DJs every week.
Along with the support of the Brixton community, their music activations work hard to celebrate the diverse musical heritage of Brixton Village.
