Black Seed

Black Seed is a venture capital organisation dedicated to supporting Black founders and entrepreneurs across the UK. Based in Brixton Village, the team works to address the long-standing funding gap faced by Black-led businesses by providing access to capital, networks and long-term support.

Founded with the goal of building a more equitable startup ecosystem, Black Seed invests in early-stage companies while also offering mentorship, community and strategic guidance to founders navigating the world of venture funding.

Their presence in Brixton Village reflects the area’s long history of entrepreneurship, creativity and community-led innovation. From their space in the market, Black Seed hosts conversations, events and initiatives designed to connect founders, investors and the wider community.
